Access key usability depends on the browser being used, currently access keys are available in Internet Explorer (version 4 and later) for Windows, Internet Explorer (version 5) for the Mac, Mozilla (in both Windows and Linux), Netscape (version 6 and later) for Windows and Opera (version 7) for Windows and Linux.
If you are using Internet Explorer press the Alt key together with the access key and the item will be highlighted (and will show in the status bar at the bottom of the window), now press enter to activate the link.
For Mozilla/Netscape users press the Control key together with the access key and the link will immediately take you to the new page.
Opera users should press Shift and Escape together, and then press the accesskey.
